Where was Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery filmed?

Rian Johnson's 2022 mystery sends detective Benoit Blanc to a tech billionaire's private Greek island, and while the glass-domed mansion is a digital flourish, the setting around it is real. The production filmed on the chic island of Spetses and along the Peloponnese coast near Porto Heli.

The bustling old harbour of Dapia, on Spetses, is where the guests gather and arrive by boat, its cannons and neoclassical mansions unchanged. The mansion itself is the clifftop Amanzoe resort above Porto Heli, whose colonnaded villas stand in for Miles Bron's compound, and the sheltered cove of Korakia nearby serves as the private beach where the weekend begins.

Spetses makes a charming base, a car-free island reached by fast ferry from the Athens port of Piraeus and best toured by bicycle or horse-drawn carriage. Porto Heli sits just across the water on the mainland, a short water-taxi hop away, with Amanzoe above it for a splurge. Late spring and early autumn bring the kindest weather.
